Dr Ilias G. Pechlivanidis has an extensive background in rainfall-runoff modelling. He has developed and worked with lumped and (semi-)distributed rainfall-runoff models (conceptual, empirical, and hybrid conceptual-physics based model structures) at continuous and event-based time scales. Hydrological modelling scripts/codes/functions have mainly been developed in programming languages such as Matlab, Python/GIS, R, Fortran. In particular, Ilias has extensively worked with the Rainfall-Runoff Modelling Toolkit (RRMT; developed by Prof. Thorsten Wagener) and contributed in the development of its semi-distributed version (RRMT-SD) (principal developer Dr Barbara Orellana). Ilias has also developed models based on the SCS-CN method.
